Come out to our table on Thursday from 10am-2pm in the Commons Dining Hall and learn how you can help improve recycling in our state. Challenge your friends to a game of bottle toss and be entered to win some cool prizes!
You know the Bottle Bill. We've all taken bottles from the party that one weekend to redeem them for some extra cash. But did you know that the Bottle Bill is the most effective recycling program in the State? It gives people an incentive to recycle, and divert our plastic beverage containers from polluting landfills and incinerators. However, the Bottle Bill doesn't include containers like water and juice that largely end up as litter or trash. We need to build enough public support to ensure that our decision makers vote the right way and expand the Bottle Bill to improve recycling in Mass. We will be collecting hand-written letters to send to Representative Keenan and talking to campus and community groups to sign a letter of support for an Updated Bottle Bill. You can help!
Come to a MASSPIRG info session in the Groups and Clubs room, downstairs in the Campus Center at 11am, 2pm or 6:30pm every day until Thursday February 4th to learn more.
