The 10 MASSPIRG students delivered climate Valentines to Frank’s office to thank him for being a global warming champion.
Recently,
Frank voted to pass H.R. 1, the House economic recovery package, which
invested $80 billion in clean energy, energy efficiency and public
transit.
“Global warming is the biggest
challenge we face today,” said Danni Everton, MASSPIRG student at BCC.
“To meet that challenge, we need to invest in solutions like clean
energy, energy efficiency and public transit.”
Students
at UMass Dartmouth and BCC collected over 250 Valentines for Frank
expressing sentiments such as “Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, You
Support Clean Energy, and We Thank You!”, and “Congressman Frank,
You’re too Cool for Global Warming.”
President Barack Obama signed the economy recovery package on February 17th.
