Thanks for being a part of MASSPIRG this year and helping make 2011 a success!

Check out a few of our highlights:

• Building more energy efficient communities by educating more than 60 elementary school students about energy efficiency.
• Supporting Massachusetts recycling by collecting and delivering 10,000 signatures (300 from Pittsfield!) asking the state legislature to update the Bottle Bill.
• Raising $1,000 in a combined fundraiser with MCLA to donate to area food pantries and homeless shelters.
• Teaming up with the cast of Mad Men to make a Funny or Die video supporting High Speed Rail.
• Joining the Textbook Rebellion, a national tour to raise awareness about the high cost of textbooks and affordable solutions. The tour collected 10,000 petition signatures and was featured in 100 news stories.

By joining together and funding MASSPIRG here at Berkshire Community College, we've been able to bring about some great results. Thanks for your support!

Of course, there's still a lot to be done on all of our campaigns. I’m excited for next semester!
